ArcGIS Image Server gives you the tools and resources to host, process, analyze, and explore massive collections of imagery, rasters, and remotely sensed data.
Dynamic image services
ArcGIS Image Server serves imagery and raster data collections as dynamic image services with on-the-fly processing and mosaicking. Use ArcGIS Image Server for:
- Satellite, aerial, and drone imagery
- Orthophotos and categorical rasters
- Elevation models and LIDAR data
These image services use mosaic datasets to manage overlapping, temporal, multiresolution imagery from multiple sources, formats, and projections. The resulting imagery can easily be shared with a wide range of desktop, web, and mobile apps. Collaborators can access predefined products, or interact with the services to refine the rendering and processing to be returned. With dynamic image services, the full information content of the imagery becomes accessible faster without pre-processing.
See Key concepts for image services for more information.
ArcGIS Image Serverunlocks the capabilities of raster analysis through massive distributed processing and analysis of imagery and rasters. Client applications can author raster processing models with an extensive list of functions, using inputs from a wide range of raster and vector sources. The raster processing models are submitted to ArcGIS Image Server to run in parallel on multiple machines and to be completed quickly. The results of image processing or raster analysis are persisted as image and feature layers registered in your portal.
See Configure the portal to perform raster analysis for more information.
