Uninstalling ArcGIS Web Adaptor

To uninstall ArcGIS Web Adaptor, follow the steps in the sections below.

Once you uninstall ArcGIS Web Adaptor, client applications cannot communicate with Portal for ArcGIS. To reestablish this communication in the future, use the Web Adaptor configuration page to register ArcGIS Web Adaptor with Portal for ArcGIS. For full instructions, see Configuring ArcGIS Web Adaptor.

Unregister ArcGIS Web Adaptor

First you need to unregister ArcGIS Web Adaptor from your portal using the ArcGIS Portal Directory. To do so, complete the following steps:

Note:

The unregistering functionality is available starting at Portal for ArcGIS 10.2.1 and is required for 10.2.1 and later versions. If your portal and ArcGIS Web Adaptor product versions are out of sync, you need to make sure both components are upgraded before proceeding.

  1. Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory, and sign in as an Administrator of your organization. The URL is formatted https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/portaladmin.
  2. Click System > Web Adaptors.
  3. On the Web Adaptors page, click the name of the machine that is hosting ArcGIS Web Adaptor.
  4. On the Web Adaptor: <machine name> page, click Unregister Web Adaptor.
  5. On the Unregister Web Adaptor page, click Unregister Web Adaptor.

ArcGIS Web Adaptor is unregistered from your portal.
