Maritime Chart Service

MCS Service Status is a new REST operation that allows you to request the status of the service.

Additional REST parameters have been implemented in the following supported operations:

Export

ParameterDescription

ForceCharts

This allows you to enter a list of charts, drawing the first one in the list on top regardless of compilation scale or usage.

Identify

ParameterDescription

ForceCharts

This allows you to enter a list of charts, identifying on the first chart in the list regardless of compilation scale or usage. This should be used for consistency when the forceCharts parameter is used in the Export command. However, they are not dependent on each other.

Additional parameters have been implemented in OGC WMS GetMap:

GetMap

ParameterDescription

ForceCharts

This allows you to enter a list of charts, drawing the first one in the list on top regardless of compilation scale or usage.

Additional parameters have been implemented in OGC WMS GetFeatureInfo:

GetFeatureInfo

ParameterDescription

ForceCharts

This allows you to enter a list of charts, drawing the first one in the list on top regardless of compilation scale or usage.

  • The following display parameters have been added:
    • Display safe soundings allows you to turn off soundings that are deeper than the Safety Depth setting.
    • Turn ALL isolated dangers off. Regardless of other system settings, all isolated danger symbols will be turned off and the non-danger symbols such as rock or wreck will be displayed.
    • Set your Safety Depth value. Default value is 30 meters.
    • Turn on/off Light Sectors.
    • Turn on/off Admiralty Information Overlay (AIO) features
    • Date dependency range allows you to insert a date or date range to display date dependent features. The current date is set by default.
    • Date dependency symbol allows you to turn on/off the date symbol for date dependent features. This is set to off by default.
  • Safety Contour default is now 30 meters as per S-52.
  • The following viewing groups are now supported:
    • Symbol LOWACC01 for low water accuracy features.
    • Overscale datasets.
  • Implemented two viewing groups based on the Human Machine Interface (HMI) example in S-52.
  • The following changes were made to the ViewOverGroups_HMI_Example:
    • Viewing groups 31030 and 31031 for additional chart information were added to the Other Miscellaneous feature layer.
    • The Shallow water pattern viewing group 23010 was added to the Standard Miscellaneous feature layer.
  • The Shallow water pattern feature layer was added to the ViewOverGroups_HMI_Example_Expanded.
  • S-63 PERMIT.TXT caching to increase dataset processing performance.
  • Added support for Admiralty Information Overlays (AIO).
  • Updated Web AppBuilder widgets.

  • Added Admiralty Information Overlay (AIO) support for Admiralty Vector Chart Service (AVCS).
  • Additional viewing group 31001 support for the LOWACC01 symbol.
  • Enhanced area fill patterns, including DIAMOND1 for shallow water.
  • Added support for displaying the INFORM01 symbol for features with additional chart information. Additional chart content is encoded using INFORM, NINFOM, TXTDSC, NTXTDS and PICREP.
  • The following feature layers have been added to the default ViewOverGroups setting with the layer turned off:
    • Low accuracy symbol
    • Additional chart information
    • Shallow water pattern
    • Overscale warning
  • Turned off the following feature layers by default:
    • Low accuracy symbol
    • Additional information
    • Additional documents
    • Shallow water pattern
    • Chart scale boundaries

Deprecated

Viewing Group 23010 for shallow water has now replaced the ShallowDepthPattern parameter to turn on/off the DIAMOND1 symbol for shallow water.

For more information, see Customizing configuration files.

Products on Demand

  • You can deploy Product on Demand (PoD) in a disconnected environment while referencing and replacing sources with locally available ones.
  • Icons in PoD have been moved to the sidebar from the top ribbon, resized and renamed.
  • Geo-enabled notes now allow you to generate textual notes for Product on Demand (PoD) outputs based on the geographic location of the product.

Maritime Chart Service

The following REST parameters have been implemented in the following supported operations:

IdentifyDatasets

ParameterDescription

geometryType

The type of geometry specified by the geometry parameter. The geometry type can be envelope, point, line, or polygon.

geometry

The geometry to apply as the spatial filter.

outfields

The list of fields to be included in the returned result set.

QueryDatasets

ParameterDescription

limit

The limit on the number of records included in the response.

outfields

The list of fields to be included in the returned result set.

minscale

Filters the datasets included in the response using the minimum compilation scale value.

maxscale

Filters the datasets included in the response using the maximum compilation scale value.

The following DisplayParameters have been removed from ServerConfiguration.xml and added to S52DisplayProperties.xml so client applications can pass them to the service:
