Use the Imagery Web Service option in ArcGIS Excalibur to access your imagery by directly connecting to an imagery web service URL to explore your imagery in the catalog or canvas view.
Obtain an imagery web service URL
You can obtain an imagery web service URL for use in ArcGIS Excalibur in the following ways:
- On the Content tab of your organization's ArcGIS Enterprise portal, you can search My Content or My Organization's Content for the imagery layer type.
Nota:
Once an imagery layer has been identified, you can view the item details of the layer. Copy the URL of the layer from the item details page to ensure the correct URL is used. - Find a service in the ArcGIS REST API Services directory https://host.domain.com/webadaptor/rest/services. Any service defined as an ArcGIS Image Server service denoted by (ArcGIS Image Server) is a supported service.

Validate the imagery web service URL
After obtaining an imagery web service URL, use the Connect to an Imagery Web Service by URL option on the ArcGIS Excalibur home page to validate your URL for use in the application.
- Click the Connect to an Imagery Web Service by URL option.
Nota:
In Excalibur v1.0-v1.1, an ArcGIS Image Server service is the only supported image web service URL. In future releases, additional options such as WMS and WMTS will be supported. - Enter the imagery web service URL in the input box and click outside the input box to validate the URL.
- If the URL validation is successful, click Connect to Catalog or Connect to Canvas to begin exploring your imagery.
- If the URL validation is unsuccessful, ensure that the URL has been entered correctly, or supply a different URL to validate.
Connessione a catalogo
Facendo clic su Connessione a catalogo, viene aperto il riquadro di ricerca nel catalogo immagini dal quale è possibile cercare, scoprire e mettere in coda le immagini per usi futuri. La mappa di ricerca nel catalogo immagini verrà ingrandita in base all’estensione dell’image service, nel quale è possibile definire i criteri di ricerca, come l’area in cui cercare.
Connessione ad area di disegno
Facendo clic su Connessione ad area di disegno, viene aperta l’area di disegno per lo sfruttamento delle immagini nella quale è possibile concentrarsi e lavorare con un’immagine specifica usando gli strumenti di visualizzazione e sfruttamento.
Nel riquadro di messa a fuoco della mappa nell’area di disegno per lo sfruttamento delle immagini sarà eseguito lo zoom in base all’estensione dell’image service e dei footprint visualizzati, mentre la tabella dei metadati sarà popolata con le immagini corrispondenti.
