Search for files

ArcGIS GeoPlanner allows you to discover documents on ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise so you can associate them with your planning project.

Complete the following steps to search for files:

  1. Click Open MenuOpen Menu.
  2. Click Attachment > Search for Files.
  3. Specify the scope of the search by clicking one of the following tabs:
    • My Content
    • My Project
    • My Organization
    • All
  4. Check the Documents check box, the Images check box, or both to filter the search results by document type.
  5. Provide keywords in the Search text box to search for documents.

    You can search for a document using its file name or the following file types:

    • Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Comma-separated values (CSV)
    • Shapefile
    • Map package
    • GeoJSON
    • Service definition
    • Layer package
    • PDF
    • KML
    • PNG, JPG, TIFF, and GIF
    • File geodatabase
    • Map document
    • CityEngine Web Scene
    • Desktop application template
    • Native application
    • Code attachment
    • Explorer map
    • Scene package
    • Scene document
    • Tile package
    • Vector tile package

  6. Click Open next to the file you want to download.

The file opens or downloads depending on its format. You can also click Details to open the item in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
