Esta secuencia de comandos de ejemplo lee un archivo de texto que contiene una lista de archivos de definición de servicio (SD) y publica cada SD en forma de servicio. Esto es especialmente útil para implementar el mismo conjunto de servicios en muchos ordenadores en un laboratorio o para implementar en servidores de desarrollo, integración y producción.

- SD: la ruta del archivo de definición de servicio. Esta ubicación debe ser visible para ArcGIS Server pero no es necesario que esté registrada en ArcGIS Server.
- folderName: nombre de la carpeta de ArcGIS Server que debe contener el servicio. La carpeta debe existir previamente. Si esta propiedad se omite, el servicio se publica a nivel raíz.
- serviceName: nombre del servicio, si desea invalidar el nombre que figura en el SD.
En primer lugar, la secuencia de comandos comprueba si existe el servicio en la carpeta especificada. Si el servicio existe, se elimina y se vuelve a publicar. Así pues, el archivo de texto puede contener una lista larga de servicios para implementarlos o solo uno para actualizarlo.
