Configure Open Database Connectivity for monitoring

Remote monitoring of databases with ArcGIS Monitor requires drivers for Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), a Data Source Name (DSN), and database credentials. Perform the steps in the following sections to verify your ODBC drivers and set the DSN.

Verify ODBC drivers

1. Open ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit).
2. Click the Drivers tab.
3. Verify that the driver for your database is listed.

   If the driver for your database is not listed, download the appropriate driver from one of the following:

   • Oracle
   • PostgreSQL
   • SQL Server

Set the DSN

1. Open ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit).
2. Click the System DSN tab.
