New features and changes to ArcGIS Enterprise on Microsoft Azure at this release include the following:
New or altered options in ArcGIS Enterprise Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure
- Choose the type of deployment to create (ArcGIS Enterprise, a stand-alone ArcGIS Server site, or a federated server). What you choose determines the subsequent options available to you in Cloud Builder.
- When you use Cloud Builder to deploy ArcGIS Enterprise, you have three options that determine the number of virtual machines in the deployment.
- You can use virtual machine images in the Azure Compute Gallery to create machines in your deployments.
- You can provide an SSL certificate that includes a secondary domain. A secondary domain allows you to implement disaster recover for an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment in Azure.
- ArcGIS GIS Server virtual machines deployed with Cloud Builder 11 include an installation of Microsoft SQL Server ODBC driver 18. As the databases to which you connect are upgraded by Microsoft, ensure you upgrade the ODBC driver on your client machines in Azure.
- Version 1 (V1) deployments are no longer supported.
- You can add a federated ArcGIS Knowledge Server site to an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment created with Cloud Builder.
- You can add an ArcGIS Data Store graph store (required to use ArcGIS Knowledge Server) or object store to an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment created with Cloud Builder, or include them when you deploy ArcGIS Enterprise.
