Install ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure

ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure is an application you install on your local Windows machine to deploy GIS servers and web GIS on Microsoft Azure. It helps you to extend your Azure implementation to include ArcGIS.

Make sure your local Windows machine meets the following prerequisites, download the installation file, and install.

Prerequisites

You can install ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure on the following Microsoft Windows operating systems:

  • Windows 7 Professional
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 8.1
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Windows Server 2012
  • Windows Server 2012 R2

Microsoft .NET 4.5 must be installed prior to installing ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure.

An administrator of your Azure subscription must enable programmatic deployment of the ArcGIS images before you can use ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure to deploy a GIS server or web GIS.

Install Cloud Builder

Follow these steps to install ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure:

  1. Download the ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure installation file.

    ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure is available to anyone who has purchased ArcGIS for Server.

  2. Place the installation file on the computer where you want to install ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure.
  3. Launch the ClickOnce (.application) file.

Cloud Builder automatically opens when installation is complete.

To open the application later, use the shortcut created in your Windows Start menu or search for ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure.
