Alerts glossary

The alerts glossary provides you with a list of available alerts and their descriptions.

StatisticDescription

Last Alert

The last time the alert was opened in a given time range.

Collection

The name of the collection in which the alert can be found.

Level

The severity level of the alert (Critical, Warning, or Informational).

Status

Indicates whether the alert is open (still occurring) or closed (no longer occurring).

Hours

The cumulative number of hours the alert was open. It's calculated using the following equation:

Hours = Count * Interval(sec)/3600

Count

The number of alerts in each time range.

Groups

Consecutive alerts are included in one group. If a new alert occurs after it has been closed, a new alert group is created. Intermittent alerts that open and close frequently will have a high number of groups.

Counter Name

The label of the counter as it appears in the catalog tree view in ArcGIS Monitor Server.

Rule

The threshold or condition that triggers the alert.

Counter Instance

The counter name attribute.

Name

The descriptive name of the counter.

Category

The report in which the alert can be found.

Counter Type

The ArcGIS Monitor counter type, such as ArcGIS, Http, Ext, and so on.

Int (min)

The sample interval for the counter in minutes.
