Die ArcGIS-REST-API funktioniert mit allen Skriptsprachen, die RESTful- oder Web-Service-Aufrufe über HTTP ausführen und die Antworten analysieren können. Dies umfasst Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, C#, Ruby, Scala, Perl und andere.

Perl

Dieses Beispielskript startet den Geometrie-Service mithilfe von Perl. Das Skript versucht immer die sichere Anmeldung (durch Verschlüsseln des Benutzernamens und des Kennwortes). Wenn HTTPS nicht für ArcGIS for Server konfiguriert ist, schlägt der Versuch der sicheren Anmeldung fehl, und das Skript versucht standardmäßig, eine unsichere Anmeldung auszuführen.
