Follow these steps to configure ArcGIS Data Store for use with Portal for ArcGIS.
Note that you must create an ArcGIS Server site before you can create a data store.

- Configure ArcGIS for Server and Portal for ArcGIS.
- Install ArcGIS Data Store.
- Create a relational and tile cache data store or create a tile cache or spatiotemporal big data store.
- If you created a relational data store, specify a shared network location for backups.
