Introduction to the GeoEvent Server Gallery

The ArcGIS GeoEvent Server Gallery is an Esri managed ArcGIS Online organization that hosts a variety of add-on items for ArcGIS GeoEvent Server. These items include connectors and processors that extend the real-time ingestion, analysis, and dissemination capabilities of GeoEvent Server. Many of the items in the gallery are supported in production environments, while others are available as samples that demonstrate what is possible when developing custom components using the GeoEvent Server SDK.

Two options exist for installing and managing add-ons in GeoEvent Server. The first, and recommended option, is to use the add-on manager in ArcGIS GeoEvent Manager to install and manage the available add-ons. For more information on the using the add-on manager, see Use the add-on manager. The second option, and the only option if you are working in a closed environment with no internet, is to download and manually install add-ons from the GeoEvent Server Gallery. For more information on manually installing add-ons, see Install and upgrade add-ons manually.

Add-ons are categorized into three categories including Esri Supported, Esri Sample, and Esri Community.

  • Esri Supported add-ons are fully supported by Esri and can be used in production environments.
  • Esri Sample add-ons are available as samples only and are not recommended for production environments. The samples should be used as examples of what is possible or as a starting point for developing your own custom components using the GeoEvent Server SDK.
  • Esri Community add-ons are developed by the Esri community using the GeoEvent Server SDK. If you have developed add-ons that you would like to make available in the ArcGIS GeoEvent Server Gallery and through the add-on manager in GeoEvent Manager, work with your Esri representative.
