ArcGIS Enterprise is designed to expand the use of maps and GIS apps within organizations. The following is a sample of the many clients you can implement to help people in your organization interact with maps and other items in your ArcGIS Enterprise portal.
Configurable apps and app builders
With configurable apps and app builders, you can share your web maps through modern and responsive web apps inside or outside of your organization. These apps provide flexibility and are appropriate for nondevelopers because they provide starting points to build custom web apps without writing a single line of code.
ArcGIS AppStudio allows you to convert maps and GIS data into native apps that can be shared with others in your enterprise or to the public through popular app stores. The apps built with AppStudio are cross-platform—that is, they run on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows platforms. When AppStudio is included with a member's user type, it provides a low-code solution for creating apps. Members can build apps with configurable app templates, extend templates with custom code, or create apps from scratch. Administrators can assign members a license for ArcGIS AppStudio Developer Edition to access advanced app templates and other tools. With this add-on license, members can create a custom stand-alone build of their app suitable for a public app store (App Store or Google Play) or enterprise distribution. Members with included or add-on licenses can access the app from the app launcher or download the software from appstudio.arcgis.com.
ArcGIS Configurable Apps
ArcGIS Configurable Apps templates allow you to build web apps from your web maps, scenes, and groups without having to write code. Choose from a comprehensive set of templates to create and share focused apps based on your goals and the needs of your audience. You can also download templates from your portal, alter them, and deploy them in your own web server.
ArcGIS Experience Builder
ArcGIS Experience Builder (available at 10.8.1) allows you to create unique web experiences using flexible layouts, content, and widgets that interact with 2D and 3D data. Start with templates to create mobile-adaptive apps, modify template layouts for a custom design on different screen sizes, or build apps from scratch for more creative freedom.
ArcGIS Web AppBuilder
Web AppBuilder is an intuitive what-you-see-is-what-you-get app that allows you to build web apps without writing code. With Web AppBuilder, you can build and customize apps that run on desktop, tablets, and smartphones with ready-to-use widgets such as querying, geoprocessing, and printing. ArcGIS apps for the field
With ArcGIS location-based apps, you can focus on collecting data and imagery, navigating routes, and assigning tasks. Enable your field crews with these apps, even when disconnected. Visit the Esri Apps for Everyone website for detailed descriptions and instructions for accessing each of them.
ArcGIS Collector is a mobile data collection app that allows you to accurately capture new data and update existing features in the field, even disconnected, and integrate seamlessly into ArcGIS. Using Collector, you can collect and update data using the GPS or by tapping on the map, fill out map-driven forms, and optionally use professional-grade GPS receivers.

ArcGIS Dashboards allows you to monitor people, services, assets, and events in real time. Using Dashboards, you can create and share dashboards with your ArcGIS Enterprise portal. Dashboards include charts, gauges, maps, and other visual elements representing the activities and key performance indicators that are most vital to meeting your objectives.
ArcGIS Drone2Map allows you to visualize and analyze geolocated images you collect with a drone to help you inspect areas from the air and monitor changes. 2D and 3D maps you create with Drone2Map can be shared to ArcGIS Enterprise.
You can provision Drone2Map licenses through ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5 and later.
ArcGIS Explorer is a mobile app that allows everyone in your organization to access their maps everywhere they go, anytime they need them, even disconnected. You can visualize data, search for places and features in your maps, view information about your assets, mark up the maps to highlight important features, and get directed to hard-to-see assets with the compass.

ArcGIS Navigator gets your mobile workers where they need to be using provided maps, your own data, or both while disconnected.
You can provision Navigator licenses through ArcGIS Enterprise.

ArcGIS QuickCapture is a field data capture app that allows you to capture data fast. You can capture the location and attributes of assets or incidents as you travel. A project author determines the arrangement of buttons, how they appear, and the information they collect. The app allows you to capture photos and sensor information from the device.

ArcGIS Survey123 facilitates form-centric data collection workflows in ArcGIS. For a good portion of data collection efforts, geography is critical but not central to the workflow. ArcGIS Survey123 recognizes this fact and brings the sophistication of forms expected in the industry into ArcGIS.
Go to https://survey123.esri.com/ to create forms and publish to ArcGIS. You can obtain the ArcGIS Survey123 mobile app from Apple, Google Play, or Windows app stores.

ArcGIS Tracker uses the location tracking service in two apps: the Track Viewer web app and the ArcGIS Tracker mobile app. The Track Viewer web app allows administrators to create track views, defining who is tracked and who can view those tracks. The Tracker mobile app is optimized for tracking locations in the background, minimizing the impact on device battery. The mobile app records tracks independently of whether there is a data connection and gives mobile users control of when they are and aren't tracked.

ArcGIS Workforce uses the power of location to achieve better coordination and teamwork in your field workforce. Get the right worker to the right place with the right tools to do the right job. Dispatchers use the Workforce web app to create and assign work, monitor progress, and see where workers are in real time. Mobile workers use the Workforce mobile app to work through their personal To Do list and communicate status.

ArcGIS applications for the office
The ArcGIS platform offers a number of desktop and browser-based applications that can save your business time and money. Visit the Esri Apps for Everyone website for detailed descriptions and instructions for accessing these applications and more.
ArcGIS Desktop also includes ArcGIS Pro, which allows you to create and work with spatial data on your desktop. It provides tools to visualize, analyze, compile, and share your data in both 2D and 3D environments. You can connect from ArcGIS Pro to your ArcGIS Enterprise portal, and use the maps and layers in the portal. You can also publish hosted feature and tile layers to your portal. Map files (.mapx), layer files (.lyrx), and layout files (.pagx) you generate from ArcGIS Pro can be added to your portal content, allowing you to share your maps and data with others.
As a portal administrator, you can configure ArcGIS Pro licenses in the portal and distribute ArcGIS Pro to members of your organization through the portal.
For the best performance, use the most recent version of ArcGIS Pro.
ArcGIS Enterprise is compatible with the version of ArcGIS Pro released at the same time or earlier versions of ArcGIS Pro that are still supported. ArcGIS Pro also requires a supported version of ArcGIS License Manager.
ArcGIS Desktop is a group of desktop applications, centered on ArcMap, that provide advanced capabilities to author, edit, and analyze spatial data. You can sign in to your portal from ArcGIS Desktop and use the maps and layers in your portal. Additionally, you can publish GIS services from ArcGIS Desktop to your portal. These GIS services—such as map, geoprocessing, locator, and imagery—provide the foundation for much of the work performed in ArcGIS Enterprise.
To use ArcMap with ArcGIS Enterprise, you must be using the same version or an earlier version. For example, use ArcMap 10.7.1 or earlier if you have ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1.
ArcGIS Business Analyst Enterprise
ArcGIS Business Analyst Enterprise allows you to share demographic analysis and spatial analytics across an organization. Included in this solution are an out-of-the-box web app and the ArcGIS GeoEnrichment Service. ArcGIS Business Analyst Enterprise helps commercial Realtors, retailers, economic development agencies, and others to evaluate markets for expansion, consolidation, or investment.

You can provision ArcGIS Business Analyst web app licenses through ArcGIS Enterprise.
ArcGIS Earth is a lightweight desktop app that allows members of your organization to explore 2D and 3D data, including KML and ArcGIS services. ArcGIS Earth uses the basemap, elevation service, and geocoding settings configured for your portal.

ArcGIS GeoPlanner allows you to collaborate with other members of your portal organization on land-based planning and designs.
Starting with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5, ArcGIS GeoPlanner is delivered with Portal for ArcGIS. See What is a GeoPlanner project to get started using ArcGIS GeoPlanner.
To allow portal members to use GeoPlanner, you must provision GeoPlanner licenses through ArcGIS Enterprise.
ArcGIS Insights is an app you access through your portal that allows you to perform iterative and exploratory data analysis on ArcGIS web services, Excel spreadsheets, and data stored in databases.
To allow portal members to use Insights, you must provision Insights licenses through ArcGIS Enterprise.

ArcGIS Maps for Office
ArcGIS Maps for Office (formerly Esri Maps for Office) provides mapping capabilities in Microsoft Office through a Microsoft add-in. You can use this add-in with Microsoft Excel to create maps in your portal that show data from your spreadsheets. Additionally, an add-in for PowerPoint allows you to embed these maps into your presentations.

ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint
ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint provides mapping capabilities in Microsoft SharePoint through a Map Web Part for SharePoint pages. You can use this to display content from your portal in your Esri pages. It also includes workflows that allow you to spatially enable and geo-enrich Esri lists or external data through Business Connectivity Services (BCS).

ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint 3.0 and 3.0.1 are not supported in a disconnected environment. If your organization does not have access to the internet, you can't use these app versions with ArcGIS Enterprise.
ArcGIS StoryMaps (available at 10.8.1) is a story authoring web-based application on the ArcGIS platform that allows you to share your maps in the context of narrative text and other multimedia content. You can use StoryMaps to author stories with the story builder, and publish, share, and manage your stories.
ArcGIS Workflow Manager
ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server is a scalable enterprise workflow management system introduced at 10.8.1 that automates and simplifies many aspects of performing and managing GIS and non-GIS work in an organization. It provides real-time tools to manage people, processes, and products required to complete work.
Esri Maps for IBM Cognos
Esri Maps for IBM Cognos allows you to add dynamic maps and data from your portal into IBM Cognos Business Intelligence reports.

Roadway Reporter for ArcGIS Roads and Highways
Roadway Reporter for ArcGIS Roads and Highways is an app powered by ArcGIS Roads and Highways, which allows you to create mileage, road segment, and road log reports from a mapcentric user experience. Roadway Reporter allows you to configure, save, and share reports and supports generating reports to either the Adobe PDF or CSV formats that can be manipulated further in Microsoft Excel.
To allow portal members to use Roadway Reporter, you must have an ArcGIS Roads and Highways server.
ArcGIS Enterprise supports the equivalent version of Roadway Reporter. For example, use Roadway Reporter 10.8 if you have ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.
Event Editor for ArcGIS Roads and Highways and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing
Event Editor is a mapcentric web app that supports linear referenced event data editing for ArcGIS Roads and Highways and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing. Event Editor allows you to search routes, define groups of event layers, query and edit data, run quality control checks, and redline routes.
To allow portal members to use Event Editor, you must have an applicable ArcGIS Roads and Highways or ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing server.
ArcGIS Enterprise supports the equivalent version of ArcGIS Roads and Highways and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing. For example, use ArcGIS Roads and Highways and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing 10.8 if you have ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.
ArcGIS Enterprise portal website
Many members of your organization only access portal content through the portal website. You can configure this site with your own look and feel, feature maps and apps on the front page, and organize the maps and apps into galleries and groups. The portal website also includes Map Viewer, which authenticated users can use to create and use maps. By configuring your portal with a hosting server, users can also create feature layers from their own shapefiles, .csv files, file geodatabases, and GeoJSON files.
