ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 introduces new features for data management and administration, updates across applications, and enhanced functionality throughout the product. This page highlights some of the new features available at 11.1 and includes links to additional information for specific components and functionality.

Product highlights
- Enhance your organization's search results with the new Search using related terms item setting, which is enabled by default. Search results will include all items that contain the search term in the title or tags and any items that contain tags with related terms.
- Subscribe to service webhooks for geoprocessing and feature services. Learn how to create webhooks in ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Install and configure a new .NET 6-based ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS), which requires a minimum of 8 GB of memory, with more potentially needed depending on the number of instances installed. You can install up to 21 instances of ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) on a single machine.
- Connect to ArcGIS Enterprise from ArcGIS AllSource to collaborate and build comprehensive answers using link analysis, 2D and 3D data, imagery, and motion imagery that helps answer critical questions for your organization.

APIs and SDK
- Developers can use custom data feeds to write code that connects into custom data formats and serves that data as feature services. It is developed using the ArcGIS Enterprise SDK and must be installed on the same machine as ArcGIS Server.

Cloud
ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes
ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes is a cloud-native deployment option for ArcGIS Enterprise. It is available alongside Windows and Linux deployment options. It delivers ArcGIS Enterprise in a containerized architecture, running in either your organization's Kubernetes platform or your cloud provider's Kubernetes service.

Retirement notices
Review each notice below and determine whether they impact your organization's workflows.
End of support for ArcMap-based workflows
At this release, ArcMap-based workflows are no longer supported in ArcGIS Enterprise. The software at versions 11.0 and later includes ArcGIS Pro-based runtime and does not include ArcMap-based runtime.
Learn more about your options to migrate services
This change may impact your workflows as it means the following are no longer supported in 11.0 and later:
- Installing ArcMap on the same machine as ArcGIS Server
- Using ArcMap to publish services (including ArcPy based in ArcMap) to ArcGIS Server sites
- Using ArcGIS Server Manager to publish an .sd file that originated from ArcMap
- Building or consuming ArcObjects SOEs and SOIs
- Administering or publishing services from ArcMap to ArcGIS Server
- Starting services that were created from ArcMap-based runtime
Support for .NET framework-based extensions built with ArcGIS Enterprise SDK
ArcGIS Pro 3.0 introduces support for .NET 6.0. To stay in sync with this change, the ArcGIS Enterprise SDK also requires .NET 6.0 and has removed support for SOEs/SOIs built using 4.8 and earlier versions of the .NET Framework. Learn more in the ArcGIS Enterprise SDK .NET guide.
