Add maps to your project

You can add maps from a portal into your Knowledge Studio project as portal content items. Portal content items can only be added to a project once.

1. Click Manage Content at the bottom of the Project Contents pane.
2. Click Add Content .

   The Import content from portal dialog box appears.

   You can browse, search, filter, and sort portal content to find the maps you want to add to the project.

3. Select any number of maps to add as portal content items.
4. Click Next.

   The maps are added to the Project Contents pane as linked portal content items.

   Note:

   If any of your maps have multiple knowledge graph layers that reference the project's knowledge graph, the first layer will be set as the active layer. You can change the active layer or merge multiple layers into a single layer in your map.

Add maps as project content

You can also add maps from a portal to your project as a project content item. Maps added in this way will be saved as a local copy in your project.

1. Click Manage Content at the bottom of the Project Contents pane.
2. Click Import as copy .

   The Import Content dialog box appears.

3. Select any number of maps to import.
4. Click Next
If any maps being added to the project have multiple knowledge graph layers from the same knowledge graph as the project, the layers must be merged before added to the project.
5. Optionally, choose how these layers will be merged:
   • Express Import automatically merges all knowledge graph layers referencing the project's knowledge graph into a single knowledge graph layer for each map.
   • Advanced import allows you to decide which of the knowledge graph layers referencing the project's knowledge graph the others are merged into. The layer definitions for the selected layer will be used for the knowledge graph layer in this map. Optionally, create a knowledge graph layer; all layer definitions will be discarded.
   

   Your imported maps will appear in the Project Contents pane .

6. Click Import Content.

   The maps are added to the Project Content pane as project content items.
