Data science and analysis notebooks

Data science workflows aid in decision-making. These sample notebooks use the big data processing and analysis capabilities of ArcGIS Notebooks to quickly and efficiently provide insights and best options. Some sample notebooks require additional capabilities in your ArcGIS Enterprise deployment, as noted below.

The sample notebooks for data science analysis are as follows, organized by category:

  • Administration — Prepare portal items for Esri sample notebooks
  • Aggregation analysis — Find the college district with the fewest low-income families
  • Crime analysis — Analyze crime incidents in Boston (requires Advanced notebook runtime)
  • Deep Learning — Detect swimming pools from satellite imagery (requires ArcGIS Image Server)
  • Directions and Routing — Find the nearest hospital (requires Directions and Routing utility and Geocoding utility services enabled)
  • EBK Regression — Identify urban heat islands (requires Advanced notebook runtime)
  • Forest-based Classification — Predict asthma rates (requires Advanced notebook runtime)
  • Machine Learning — Downscale climate models (requires Advanced notebook runtime)
  • Network Analysis — Investigate Chennai floods (requires the Hydrology utility and Geocoding utility services enabled)
  • Network Analysis — Track river pollutants (requires the Hydrology utility service enabled)
  • Raster Analytics — Count features in satellite imagery
  • Raster Analytics — Calculate wildfire landslide risk (requires ArcGIS Image Server)
  • Raster Analytics — Pawnee fire impact assessment (requires ArcGIS Image Server and GeoEnrichment utility service enabled
  • Site Selection — Find health clinics (requires Directions and Routing utility service enabled)
  • Site Selection — Find restaurant clusters (requires Advanced notebook runtime and GeoEnrichment utility service enabled)
  • Spatial analysis — Analyze patterns of commercial permits (part 1 of 2)
  • Spatial analysis — Analyze patterns of commercial permits (part 2 of 2) (requires GeoEnrichment utility service enabled)
