Ortho Maker setup and configuration

Ortho Maker provides photogrammetric mapping capabilities using distributed processing and storage in ArcGIS Enterprise. Follow the steps below to configure Ortho Maker in your ArcGIS Enterprise deployment.

  1. Configure and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise for raster analytics.

A file share type of raster store is required.

  2. Configure an Orthomapping Elevation utility service with your ArcGIS Enterprise portal. This service will be used by Ortho Maker to perform adjustments. If your portal users have Internet access, you can configure the ArcGIS Online Orthomapping Elevation utility service. If your users do not have Internet access, or you want to use your own service, browse to Organization > Settings > Utility Services, and add your orthomapping elevation service URL to Orthomapping Elevation. Ensure the elevation service covers the area where your Ortho Maker projects are located. If you need a good quality, downloadable DTM of the globe for your projects, get the instructions here.
  3. Sign into ArcGIS Enterprise, which opens the home page of your ArcGIS Organization. Click the Apps Launcher button Apps Launcher and click on the Ortho Maker button to open the Ortho Maker application.

In order for the Ortho Maker application to automatically appear in the App Launcher, raster analytics must be configured properly in ArcGIS Enterprise, and the current user needs to have the appropriate privileges for content creation and service publishing.
