Deploy ArcGIS Data Store on AWS
ArcGIS Server on Amazon Web Services Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) have ArcGIS Data Store installed on them. You can configure ArcGIS Data Store with your ArcGIS Server site on Amazon Web Services (AWS), license Portal for ArcGIS, and set the ArcGIS Server as your portal's hosting server to store hosted feature layer data and scene layer caches.
The following steps summarize how to configure ArcGIS Data Store on AWS.
Tip:
Alternatively, you can use Esri sample CloudFormation templates to deploy a web GIS site that includes ArcGIS Data Store on Amazon Web Services.
- Launch an EC2 instance with ArcGIS Server and set up an ArcGIS Server site.
- Deploy Portal for ArcGIS on the ArcGIS Server EC2 instance.
- Start ArcGIS Data Store.
- On Windows instances, start the ArcGIS Data Store service from the Windows Services panel. On Ubuntu instances, log in as the arcgis user, and run startdatastore.sh, which is in /arcgis/datastore.
- Create an ArcGIS Data Store on the ArcGIS Server EC2 instance.
Note:
Only a primary machine deployment is supported at this time.
