00039: Accelerated raster layers cannot be published directly to a map service

This ArcGIS 10.3 documentation has been archived and is no longer updated. Content and links may be outdated. See the latest documentation.
In this topic

Your map contains an accelerated raster layer. Layers of this type cannot be published directly to a map service.

Solutions

  • You can convert the accelerated raster layer back into a standard (nonaccelerated) raster layer.
  • Alternatively, if you don't need this layer, you can remove it from the map.

More information

Accelerated raster layers are intended for high-performance interactive analysis while working in ArcGIS for Desktop. Use of this layer type in ArcGIS for Server does not provide any benefit over a traditional raster layer.
