00003: Layer's data source is inaccessible

A layer in your document has a broken data link, meaning the layer's data cannot be displayed.

Solutions

  • You can repair broken data links by setting the data source of each layer to the proper location.
  • Alternatively, if you do not need the layer, remove it from your document.

More information

A data link is the path that identifies the dataset for each layer in a map or globe. It is specified as part of each layer's properties.

A broken data link means that the layer's data is inaccessible. As documents are moved, copied, and renamed, data links are frequently broken, but can be easily repaired.

See Repairing broken data links for more information.
