What's new in ArcGIS Workflow Manager

Available with Workflow Manager license.

The 11.0 release of ArcGIS Workflow Manager includes the following new features and enhancements:

  • You can now switch workflow items from any page in Workflow Manager using the My Workflow Items button My Workflow Items at the top of the Workflow Manager web app.
  • The Details panel in the Workflow Manager web app has been updated to include animations that make job updates more visible and responsive.
  • The job list on the Work page can be sorted by clicking the name of a field in the job list.
  • Extended properties tables can be duplicated and used in multiple job templates.
  • Step templates have been updated to support the following features:
    • Advanced Assignment is a new step that allows you to assign a subsequent step to a user or group.
    • Claim Version is a new step that allows you to change the owner of one or more job-specific versions of data to the current user.
    • The Open Pro Project Items step has been updated to include the following features:
      • Projects that are hosted on an ArcGIS Enterprise portal, ArcGIS Online, or a local file path are automatically opened when the step is run in ArcGIS Pro.
      • When the step is run in the Workflow Manager web app, you are prompted to download a PITEMX file that can be used to open the project in ArcGIS Pro.
      • The step can be configured to restrict edits from being made outside of the job's location.
      • The step can be configured to automatically close the project when the step is completed.
    • The Send Web Request step has been updated to include the following features:
      • Tokens can be generated for REST endpoints that require Bearer Token and API Key authentication.
      • You can now test your web requests when configuring the step to verify that the request is configured correctly.
  • Shared searches can be duplicated and used as a starting point for searches with similar criteria.
  • Shared charts can be duplicated and used as a starting point for similar types of charts.
  • Support for ArcGIS Arcade expressions in string fields has been implemented throughout the Workflow Manager web app to allow you to dynamically populate fields with job specific information.
  • The ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server Advanced role now includes the functionality that allows you to automatically create jobs from incoming webhooks.
