Output connectors, or outputs, are elements in a GeoEvent Service that enable dissemination of data from processed event records to other components in your solution architecture. Use the service designer in ArcGIS GeoEvent Manager to add new and work with existing outputs in a GeoEvent Service.
Create and add an output
To create and add an output to a GeoEvent Service, double-click an Output element from the New Elements list in the service designer, or click Add Output on the main page of GeoEvent Manager.
From the list of available output connectors, choose and configure an output that supports how you intend to disseminate data from processed event records to other components in your solution. When an output is created, its default state is stopped. This is to prevent dissemination of data before a user or client is ready. To start an output, refer to the Start and stop an output section below.
Add an existing output
To add an existing output to a GeoEvent Service, double-click an available output under Outputs to add it to the service designer.
Copy an output
To copy an existing output, right-click the output under Outputs and choose Create New Output as Copy. To edit or update the output created from the copy, right-click the new output and choose Edit Output Properties. You can add the new output to the active or another GeoEvent Service.
Start and stop an output
By default, a new output connector is in a stopped state. To start and stop an output, right-click an existing output in either the Outputs list or the service designer and choose Start Output or Stop Output. Starting and stopping an output controls the active dissemination of processed event records to consumers.
Edit an output
To edit an existing output, right-click the output under Outputs and choose Edit Output Properties. To edit the parameters of an output in a GeoEvent Service, double-click the output in the service designer to access the output parameters.
