ArcGIS for INSPIRE Server extension

The ArcGIS Server Extension, a server object extension (SOE), is an essential core component of ArcGIS for INSPIRE. The extension provides INSPIRE network services in accordance with the INSPIRE directive.

At version 10.2.1 of ArcGIS for INSPIRE, the network services are as follows:

  • INSPIRE View Service (based on OGC WMS 1.3.0)
  • INSPIRE View Service - INSPIRE profile of OGC WMTS 1.0.0
  • INSPIRE Feature Download Service (based on OGC WFS 2.0.0)
  • INSPIRE Feature Download Service for predefined datasets (based on ATOM and OpenSearch)

The Extension for ArcGIS Server appends additional abilities that are in accordance with the INSPIRE Implementing Rules and the INSPIRE Technical Guidance documents.

The ArcGIS Server extension is generally based on the existing service types provided by ArcGIS for Server (for example, the GeoDataServer or MapServer). As such, the above-mentioned services integrate into the existing service-typology of ArcGIS for Server.
