The 12.0 release of the ArcGIS Maritime server extension contains several enhancements.

Maritime Chart Service (MCS)

The following enhancements were made to Maritime Chart Service (MCS):

• The S-62 agency list is updated through August 26, 2025.
• The UnicodeFontFamily setting has been added to the ServerConfiguration.xml file to allow a specialized font to display object name and national object name text values.
• The default CRS value changed from 102100 to 4326 in the ServerConfiguration.xml file.
• The default minZoom and maxZoom values are updated to 1 for PointSymbolSize, LineSymbolSize, AreaSymbolSize and TextSize in the S52DisplayProperties.xml file.
• The AttDesc (Attribute Description) display parameter is enhanced with a new enumeration value of 3. This allows a client to request both acronym and description values to be returned by the service. The default setting in the S52DisplayProperties.xml file is still value = 1 for acronym.
• The S52DisplayProperties.xml file has been updated with straight quotes instead of smart quotes to support tooltips for the Maritime Display Properties widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder.
• The ArcGIS Production Mapping license is not required to use Maritime Chart Service.
• The following files are updated:
