ArcGIS Server is installed in English by default. See the sections below for the available localization resources.
Localize ArcGIS Server
The ArcGIS Server setup installs language specific resources that allow you to localize the user interface of the ArcGIS Server Manager application. Your preferred web browser can be configured to display ArcGIS Server Manager in one of the supported languages.
You can download the ArcGIS Server Resource Language Pack from My Esri to localize log messages and capabilities provided by ArcGIS Server. The ArcGIS Server Resource Language Pack contains resources in the following languages:
- Arabic
- Simplified Chinese
- French
- German
- Italian
- Japanese
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Turkish
Localize help documentation
The English version of the help documentation is installed as part of the ArcGIS Server setup. To view the help in a different language, download and install the ArcGIS Server Help Language Pack from My Esri. The ArcGIS Server Help Language Pack contains help in the following languages:
- Simplified Chinese
- French
- German
- Japanese
- Russian
- Spanish
Uninstall ArcGIS Server Resource or Help Language Pack
The ArcGIS Server Resource and Help language packs must be uninstalled separately, as they are not uninstalled with the ArcGIS Server uninstall process. For more information, see Uninstall ArcGIS Server.
Upgrade ArcGIS Server Resource or Help Language Pack
If a previous version of a localized ArcGIS Server is installed, upgrading to ArcGIS Server 12.0 will upgrade ArcGIS Server only. Any language packs will not be upgraded.
To upgrade the language-specific resources, the previous version of ArcGIS Server language packs must be uninstalled before installing the ArcGIS Server 12.0 Resource Language Pack or ArcGIS Server 12.0 Help Language Pack.
Running setup.exe for ArcGIS Server will upgrade ArcGIS Server only. The previous version of the language packs will be retained in the original installation location and will not be functional.
