What's new for ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 on Amazon Web Services

New functionality and changes in the 10.9.1 release of ArcGIS Enterprise on Amazon Web Services are described in the following sections.

Amazon Web Services CloudFormation templates to create machine images

Two new CloudFormation templates allow you to create your own custom Amazon Machine Image. If you use AWS tools to create deployments from an AMI, you can use these templates to create an AMI that contains the ArcGIS Enterprise components and operating system of your choice.

Upgrades

The deployments that you created using the 10.9 ArcGIS Enterprise Cloud Builder for Amazon Web Services or 10.9 Esri AWS CloudFormation templates can be upgraded using 10.9.1 Cloud Builder or CloudFormation templates.

Other deployments can be upgraded using Chef scripts, or you can connect to the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances and upgrade the software the same way you would upgrade software installed on machines on-premises. See ArcGIS upgrades on Amazon Web Services for information on what methods you can use to upgrade based on how you created your deployment.

Changes in versions and support

At this release, new versions of each Esri Amazon Machine Image (AMI) are available on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. This is the final release of Esri AMIs.
