The ArcGIS Enterprise AMIs

Note:

After ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1, Esri will not produce Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) with software installed.

Starting with the 10.9.1 release, you can create a custom AMI that contains the ArcGIS Enterprise software of your choice by running an Amazon Web Services (AWS) CloudFormation template provided by Esri.

Esri provides Amazon Machine Images you can use when building a site on AWS. You can use the AMIs with the ArcGIS Enterprise Cloud Builder for Amazon Web Services, AWS CloudFormation templates, or the AWS Management Console to deploy ArcGIS Enterprise or build stand-alone ArcGIS Server sites on AWS.

AMIs are publicly available from AWS Marketplace; you do not need to contact Esri Customer Service to access most of the ArcGIS Enterprise AMIs.*

*To use an AMI in Chinese regions, you need to contact your regional office.

Available AMIs are as follows:

  • Esri ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 on Ubuntu
  • Esri ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 on Microsoft Windows

Before using an AMI for the first time, you must accept the AWS Marketplace terms

The following table provides a summary of the components included with the current version of each type of AMI. You need to have licenses for each ArcGIS software component you use.
