What's new in ArcGIS 10.4.x Server on Microsoft Azure

ArcGIS 10.4.1 is a maintenance and quality improvement release. For a list of issues that are fixed in 10.4.1, see the 10.4.1 Issues Addressed List.

The following functionality was new in ArcGIS 10.4 Server on Microsoft Azure.

ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder 10.4 for Microsoft Azure displays existing sites, and allows you to connect to and register a database, install an SSL certificate, and delete a site from the list of sites.

The 10.4 release of ArcGIS Server Cloud Builder for Microsoft Azure supports the new deployment model in Azure known as Azure Resource Manager (ARM). To learn more about ARM, see MSDN and Azure documentation. Note that the ARM deployment model is not available in the Azure US Government Cloud environment; therefore, the 10.4 ArcGIS image is not available in the Azure US Government Cloud environment. Esri continues to work closely with Microsoft and will make the image available in subsequent ArcGIS releases. You can continue to use the supported 10.3.1 images in this environment with the 10.3.1 Cloud Builder.

The ArcGIS 10.4 Server image on Microsoft Azure includes support for configuring ArcGIS GeoEvent Extension for Server, an optional component of ArcGIS that allows you to incorporate real-time data into your GIS applications.
