ArcGIS GeoEvent Server includes out-of-the-box connectors for common data formats (text, RSS, Esri feature JSON, and generic JSON) and data communication channels (system file, HTTP, TCP, UDP, WebSocket, and Esri feature service).
In addition to the out-of-the-box functionality, the ArcGIS GeoEvent Gallery provides additional connectors for a variety of third-party devices and subscription data feeds. Some examples that highlight the extensibility of GeoEvent Server include connectors for in-vehicle GPS devices, social media feeds such as Twitter and Instagram, IoT hubs, and big data support for MongoDB and Hadoop.
If you need to connect to a data feed and an existing connector is not available, you can use GeoEvent Manager to configure a new connector using the available adapters and transports or create a custom connector using GeoEvent Server Software Development Kit.
