What's new in ArcGIS Video Server

ArcGIS Video Server is an ArcGIS Enterprise server role that allows you to index, search, publish, and stream video as a service with geospatial and temporal context. The 12.0 release of ArcGIS Video Server has the following improvements and features:

  • Public support for the ArcGIS Video Server REST API.
  • Support for file and cloud data stores including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS).
  • Increased ArcGIS Enterprise readiness.
  • Improved client integration with ArcGIS Excalibur.
  • Support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Additional fixes, including support for additional livestream protocols and usability improvements.
  • Enhanced elevation support to improve the accuracy of geo-registered video.
  • Author and publish video layers from desktop clients.
  • Support for emerging codecs optimized for web streaming, including H.265 (High Efficiency Video Coding) and AV1 (Alliance for Open Media 1).
